One Pan Feather Steak with Garlic Potatoes

Hey friends, thanks for stopping by! So you fancy cooking up a one pan feather steak with garlic potatoes huh? Can't say I blame you, it's a great dinner that's quick to cook and tastes deeeeeevine!

A feather steak is one of the cheaper cuts of steak that has a delicious flavour and is really tender when cooked right. However, two things to note: 1/ If you overcook it, it's gonna be like chewing jerky, just not as pleasant. And 2/ it does come with a line of fatty gristle running through the centre which you can either cut out before cooking or once it's on your plate (in this video I do the latter).

The Recipe
Serves 1+

Ingredients per person:
1 feather/featherblade/flat iron steak
Butter
Handful or cooked, cooled and dried leftover potatoes, halved
6 cherry tomatoes
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

Directions:
Preheat your plate till it's very hot. Add in a little butter and then throw in your steak.
Mine was about 3/4 thick and I cooked it for 2 minutes each side - adjust timings if yours is much thicker.
Take the steak out when it's finished cooking and let it rest.
Pop a little more butter in the pan, turn the heat down and fry the potatoes until crispy underneath.
Turn the potatoes, add in the cherry tomotoes and cooked for another few minutes until the tomato skins have split and they are hot through. Add in the garlic and cook for one more minute.
Serve with the steak. Yum!
