Marie Galos: Nocturne No.8, "La baie des anges"

Back to the category "really very obscure". Galos born Marie Cécile Larreguy on October 27, 1821 in Paris and died on September 4, 1903 in Bordeaux, is a French pianist and composer of the second mid-19th century. She is sometimes called Giselle Galos or Galas.
A very beautiful nocturne,
The title page on the imslp score says the following in french:

"What is this pathetic voice which sings in the evening and moves the most closed hearts?

It is a NOCTURNE DE GALOS. No melody is softer and more dreamy under the fingers of the performer; a thousand impressions are not deeper and truer, whether it is to evoke bells in the falling evening or the beauty of a landscape. The works of Galos and consecrated in memoriam are famous throughout the world. We are sure to shine by playing or singing them, because they are written for everyone [...]"
