The Genius of 'The Milkman Conspiracy' (Psychonauts)

With Double Fine's Psychonauts 2 around the corner I want to re-explore the genius level design of The Milkman Conspiracy as it gives us an in depth look into the mind of Boyd Cooper, an individual coping with severe psychosis and paranoia. Through amazingly obtuse level design we get to play the Psychonauts protagonist Raz and explore the mind of Boyd Cooper, the manipulated by Coach Oleander, trying to discover the fate of the mysterious Milkman, and through this amazingly well crafted level we are able to get more insight into the inner mechanisms of Boyd’s mind than we ever could have through simple exposition. So let's dive into the mind of Tim Shafer and see what makes this level so incredibly special.

I do want to note that all counselors will come at situations from different theoretical orientations, backgrounds, and belief systems. My opinions correlate with my own education and professional experience up to this point in my education.
