Best Art Nouveau buildings in Budapest

In Hungarian, the Art Nouveau style is known as "Secession." It was widely popular across Europe between 1890 and 1910, and many notable examples can be found in the heart of Budapest. From the masterpieces of Ödön Lechner to the famous Gellért Thermal Baths, we explore some of our favourites in this edition of Three Minute Budapest.

*Fans of Art Nouveau may wonder why the legendary Museum of Applied Arts was left out of this video. At the time of recording, the museum is under extensive renovation, and only the ceiling peeks out above the scaffolding. In due time, the Museum will be the focus of our cameras once again, but for the moment we let her sister buildings enjoy some of the limelight.
