Trust God, Not Your Heart ❤️ #BibleTruth #Jeremiah179 #Proverbs35 #faith
Have you ever heard someone say, “Follow your heart”? It sounds good… but is it always right?
In Jeremiah 17:9, the Bible says, “The heart is deceitful above all things.” That’s a strong statement. It reminds us that our emotions and feelings, while powerful, are not always reliable. Our hearts can be influenced by fear, anxiety, pride, or temporary desires.
But the Bible doesn’t leave us without direction.
Proverbs 3:5 gives us a better way: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Instead of depending solely on our emotions, we are called to trust God completely. His wisdom is greater than our feelings. His perspective is clearer than our limited understanding.
When anxiety rises, pray. When confusion comes, read Scripture. When emotions feel overwhelming, seek God’s direction.
Feelings change. God’s truth does not.
This short reflection reminds us to align our hearts with faith. Don’t silence your heart — guide it with God’s Word.
