I've died and gone to Dominican Dance Heaven - PART 3 ❤️🇩🇴

I don't even know where to begin. I went to a Bachata Festival many months back. First Festival, and very first class I take was @edwinmferreras . I knew I loved Traditional Bachata music but wanted to learn more about the dancing. I was so inspired in that class, as he not only taught the actual movements, but he also discussed musicality as well as the history and where it comes from. Fascinated, after class I approached him and told him I wanted to go to the Dominican Republic sometime soon.

Fast forward, little did I know this one single encounter would create the magic I experienced this past week. This trip just would not have been what it was without you, Edwin. From all your help in the conversations leading up to the trip, during the trip, getting to meet some of the locals, the authentic cultural experience with your family, the unbelievable dancing and knowing where to be, when, and pretty much planning the dates of my entire trip. I have tears in my eyes right now from how happy I am. Words are not enough to express my gratitude to you. You are not just an incredible teacher and dancer, but a kind soul.

And this dance? We may have only danced once this week, but when that fast song came on and your phone went to the front pocket, I knew it was on. 😅 Feeling that joy and connection, my spirit was dancing through the magic of it all. Thank you, my friend.🙏💜
