SUPERCUB: Oil Spinner Maintenance & Cleaning

Adrian and I are finally doing some long-overdue maintenance on our Super Cubs after the Scooter Cannonball Run. We are nearly 7K miles past our scheduled 8K-mile oil spinner service, so that's today's task! Skip to the end of this description for clickable time markers. #supercub #c125 #motomaintenance

We passed our scheduled 8000-mile maintenance before we even reached Bar Harbor, Maine to start the Scooter Cannonball Run! I didn't receive our spare gaskets before we left on July 1, 2021, so that maintenance job just had to wait until we returned. The clean-out wasn't difficult, but it did require some tools and time to accomplish the task. I'm definitely glad that I didn't try to do it without the replacement gaskets.

Both of our side cover gaskets ripped near the bottom-center of the cover, so they weren't reusable. The oil spinner gasket was also very brittle and somewhat damaged during removal. I would advise anyone doing this procedure to purchase the gaskets in advance... they are very inexpensive. Here are the part numbers and prices (as of Nov 19, 2021):
