----------ABOUT THE VIDEO----------
This video was originally uploaded to our other channel, Casual Navigation, back in 2018.
In this video we look at Rule 5 of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, the COLREGS. The COLREGS are the rules of the road that vessels must obey at sea to avoid collisions.
Rule 5 covers "Look Out". In this video I go into detail about the rule and give examples of how to apply the rule at sea.
----------RULE 5----------
Rule 5: Look Out
Every vessel shall at all times maintain a proper look out by sight and hearing as well as by all available means appropriate in the prevailing circumstances and conditions so as to make a full appraisal of the situation and of the risk of collision.
