Bearded Vulture / Lammergeier at Crowden, Longdendale Valley, Derbyshire on 6th August 2020.

The first summer / second calendar year immature (presumed female) Bearded Vulture (also known as Lammergeier), Gypatus barbatus, filmed along the valley north of Crowden in the Longdendale area of Derbyshire on 6th August 2020. It has been in the Peak District area since early July.

This individual is a vagrant that is assumed to have been raised last year in the Alps as part of the re-introduction programme taking place there. The video shows the bird resting on crags and in flight, initially in poor weather.
