Recording the amp with a mic gives a good idea of how the amp sounds in the room. The interface of the Spark 40 going straight into the computer via the USB out, also sounds very good.
As the gain increased, there was a clearer difference between the mic and the USB in, with the latter giving a more defined sound in my opinion.
This was mainly because of the fact that the amp has a stereo speaker system and spreads sound very well, making it difficult to mic.
However, I wanted to give you a good idea of how the amp actually sounds and not just how it sounds via the USB.
