The Sinclair QL and Microdrives: a Trip Back in Time - #QLvember

In this journal entry I'll be traveling back to the 80's, using my Sinclair QL the way I did back when I first had it. Though I didn't own one until 1990/91, the machine I got was an original model with only 128K of memory and microdrives. I also acquired a graphical front-end called ICE and a C compiler, both of which were created during the 80's as well. Though using microdrives now can be a painful experience, being faulty and slow compared faster media such as SD card readers, 30 years ago, they could actually be somewhat reliable. I'll write a simple C program, compile and run it, all using nothing other than what I had back then. A retro journey back to how we used to use our machines. You might be surprised how little difference there actually is.
