NRC Presents: Stephen Krashen on Reading Because You Want To (Part 1)
On February 4, 2016 professor Stephen Krashen delivered a lecture in Toronto entitled, "Reading because you want to: The missing link in language education."
This event was presented by the National Reading Campaign and sponsored by TD Bank.
Stephen Krashen is an Emeritus Professor of Education at the University of Southern California. Krashen is the author of more than 250 articles and books in the fields of bilingual education, neurolinguistics, second language acquisition and literacy.

The National Reading Campaign is an advocacy organization dedicated to the principle that reading is essential to the well-being and happiness of an individual, and to that person’s capacity to act as a citizen in a democracy. The NRC produces research, public events, and each year organizes Reading Town Ville Lecture, a multi-lingual reading festival held in cities across Canada.
