Devon Traveller John Tragood on Breaking his Leg

Devon traveller John Treagood is recovering well after tripping over the shaft of his cart and snapped the left bone in his leg in half.

Mr Treagood, who turned 80 in January, said the accident happened in November when his horse got out into the road and when he went to get him he tripped and fell.

Many concerned residents have noticed him with a crutch at his current location in Uffculme, Mid Devon.

He is known to many across the South West region after spending more than 40 years after leaving the army travelling with his horse Misty and cart with his two dogs and stopping at various roadsides on his way around the area.
