Race 2 is a 2013 Indian action thriller film directed by Abbas Burmawalla, Mustan Burmawalla and produced under the Tips Music Films banner. It is the sequel to the 2008 film, Race and the second installment of Race film series. It stars an ensemble cast that includes Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan reprising their roles as Robert D'Costa and Ranvir Singh respectively, while Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez are new additions to the cast. Aditya Pancholi is featured as an antagonist in a guest appearance. Bipasha Basu reprised her role of Sonia Martin in a special appearance.[4] Ameesha Patel replaced Sameera Reddy who was assistant to Anil Kapoor in 1st installment.

Made on a budget of ₹600 million (US$9.4 million),[2] Race 2 was released on 25 January 2013 and opened to mixed reviews from critics and highly positive response at the box office, earning ₹1.62 billion (US$25 million) worldwide. Cast[edit]
Anil Kapoor as Robert D'Costa "RD", Ranvir's friend and a former private detective. He's the one who introduces Armaan to Ranvir and later betrays Armaan with Ranvir and Alina in a twist.
Saif Ali Khan as Ranvir "Ronny" Singh, A rich and ruthless businessman who fled with his wife after death of his step brother. He aims to con Armaan and avenge the death of his wife, Sonia.
Deepika Padukone as Alina Malik, Armaan's half sister and 50% partner. She is as ruthless as Armaan but secretly hates Armaan who also wants to kill her to gain full control of casinos.
John Abraham as Armaan Malik, A clever businessman who tries to acquire casinos. However, he also tries using Ranvir as a pawn to become even richer and kill him after knowing that he is Sonia's husband.
Jacqueline Fernandez as Omisha (Mona Ghosh Shetty as the dubbing voice), Armaan's girlfriend who tries to con Ranvir by pretending to be Sonia's sister, not knowing that he had already seen her photo in the past.
Ameesha Patel as Cherry, Robert's dimwitted assistant who has a liking for him but doesn't understand his jokes.
