Agricultural Storage Pit: Customer Screeds 75,000 sq. ft. (7,000 m2) First Two Days of Ownership

Tru Concrete Solutions in Michigan took delivery of their SCREEDSAVER MAX machine on a Friday morning. By Saturday night they had placed 1,400 yards of concrete to complete a 75,000 square foot agricultural storage pit slab. The pit was built to NRCS (National Resource Conservation Service) standards (federal required standard for agriculture storage pits). This meant it was designed, built, inspected and approved to Federal standards. The Federal standards only require a “clay lined” pit. In this case, the pit owner “elected” to add a concrete liner on top of the clay liner to prevent any damage to the clay liner when his Cat Loaders were traveling along in the pit. The owner has no concern about concrete cracking since the pit is 100% clay lined for proper retention.
