সোমবার রাত থেকে টানা বর্ষণে নোয়াখালী জেলা শহরে জলাবদ্ধতা সমস্যা প্রকট আকার ধারণ করেছে। বুধবার বৃষ্টি কমলেও বহু সরকারি-বেসরকারি অফিস, বাসাবাড়ি, দোকানপাট ও পথঘাট এখনও পানির নিচে। খাল দখল ও ড্রেন ভরাট হয়ে যাওয়ার বর্ষার শুরুতেই এমন পরিস্থিতি হয়েছে বলে অভিযোগ স্থানীয়দের।

Due to continuous rain since Monday night, waterlogging problem has become evident in Noakhali district town. Although the rain subsided on Wednesday, many government and private offices, houses, shops and roads are still under water. Locals complain that this situation happened at the beginning of the monsoon when the canal was encroached and the drain was filled.
