Mounting L Tracks in a Van

The Neverending Roadtrip has finally made some improvements to the 170 4x4. In this video we mount L-Tracks on either side of the van with a rivet tool. It was far easier than expected!! The L-Tracks will hold 80/20 Aluminum Struts spanning across the van and supporting our Queen size bed. In the beginning of the video you can see our actual full size Queen Mattress and slim box spring. We had very minimal options when we left the house!! I made a temporary bed frame out of an old folding table frame and to be honest, it worked GREAT!! Eventually it had to be strapped down for stability but it was never meant to last long.

We stacked quite a few projects up during our Christmas break and the first on the list was a new bed!! So, here we are, mounting the first addition to our 170 4x4. This may have been the best addition since it also added a TON of garage space for bikes and gear.
