Visiting Labrang Monastery and Tibetan Nomads in Xiahe, Gansu, China | Travel Vlog

Xiahe is a county in Gansu province, located in the Northwest of China. Here you can experience Tibetan food and culture without needing a permit (as you would if you visited the Tibetan Autonomous Region). We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of their summer season, took in the Labrang Monastery as well as visited with a welcoming Tibetan Nomadic family in the Sangke Grasslands.
