How to Choose the Right Lawyer for You | #AskAndrew
In this episode, Andrew Feldstein and Lauren Harvey discuss best practices for choosing the right family law lawyer for your divorce or separation.
LAUREN HARVEY
Lauren joined Feldstein Family Law Group as a Summer Student in 2020 and returned as an Articling Student in 2021-2022. Following her Call to the Ontario Bar in April 2022, Lauren was welcomed back to the firm as an Associate.

Lauren’s keen interest in family law peaked during her time at the University of Western Ontario where she completed family law courses and was a Caseworker in the Family Law Clinic of Community Legal Services which is a community legal clinic and a clinical education program that provides free legal serves to low-income people in the London community and to Fanshawe College and Western University students.

Lauren was a member of the Walsh Family Law Moot Team in her 2nd year at Western University and went on to be the student coach of the team during her 3rd year. Lauren’s practice covers all areas of family law, and she assists clients with issues such as parenting time, decision-making responsibility, child support and spousal support, and the division of property.

ABOUT ANDREW FELDSTEIN:
Andrew Feldstein graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1992. Prior to focusing exclusively on family law, Andrew’s legal practice covered many different areas, including corporate commercial. One of Andrew’s fundamental objectives is to achieve those goals mutually and collaboratively, as set out by him and his client.

Through the years, Andrew has demonstrated his skill and commitment to his clients. In 2010, he was honoured with an inaugural appointment to the Dispute Resolution Officer (DRO) Panel for Newmarket. This appointment was made by the Senior Family Justice for Ontario (The Honourable Madam Justice Mary J. Hatton) and the Regional Senior Judge for the Central East Judicial Region of Ontario (The Honourable Mr. Justice Michael Brown). Lawyers appointed to this Panel function to support the family law court process by aiding couples in attempts to resolve their issues before their case proceeds before a Judge. Andrew was selected for this appointment because of his vast experience with and successful ability to resolve complex family law issues using alternatives to the traditional court methods, including the collaborative family law process.

Andrew actively supports current law students, education, and the legal profession by volunteering as a mentor for the Osgoode Hall Law School Mentor Program. His ongoing dedication to the students of Osgoode Hall Law School has resulted in extremely positive student feedback. Andrew is the Chair of the Articling Committee at Feldstein Family Law Group.
