Can the EU Support Stability and Democracy in Eastern Partnership Countries?

The EU’s involvement in Eastern Neighborhood | Maintaining security and stability while strengthening democracy is a primary priority for a number of countries in the Eastern Neighborhood. However, these countries face numerous challenges, often compounded by direct threats to their sovereignty and independence. The question of whether it is possible to uphold both internal and external security while simultaneously developing democratic societies remains unresolved. With the evolving security dynamics in the region, how can the EU ensure that its support for the Eastern Neighborhood promotes long-term stability without inadvertently encouraging deeper divisions or conflicts within these countries? What challenges do countries in the Eastern Partnership face in balancing their desire for closer EU integration with external geopolitical pressures and influence?
