Building a Full XL bed from Matthias Wandel’s bed plans

I’m using Matthias Wandel’s bed plans from his using dimensional lumber (construction lumber) to build a soothingly sturdy queen sized bed video as the base plans for building a Full XL bed frame. Thanks to Matthias for supplying these well drawn out plan. I had to make adjustments for dimensions as my son wanted a full 18 inches of clearance beneath the bed and Matthias’ bed plans are for a queen size bed while I only need a full XL bed. I am also creating a completely different headboard. I don’t have a jointer or a thickness planer and I was short on time so I did the best I could with the dimensional lumber being so bent in many directions.
