In a swift and mature political move, Andhra Pradesh IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh has ordered the immediate removal of his son Nara Devansh’s name from a prominent Pushkar Ghat. The issue came to light during the ongoing grand preparations for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu, when pictures and videos of the "Devansh Ghat" signboard in Munikoodali village under Seethanagaram Mandal went viral on social media, drawing criticism from netizens.

Reacting strongly to the online discussion, Minister Lokesh clarified that public infrastructure and government projects should not carry his family members' names. He called the naming inappropriate and strictly directed officials to ensure that no Pushkar Ghat bears Devansh's name. Local authorities immediately complied with the government orders and removed the controversial signboard. Interestingly, officials revealed that this ghat was originally developed and named "Devansh Ghat" back during the 2015 Godavari Pushkaralu under the supervision of then-MLA Pendurthi Venkatesh, and it was not a recent naming.
