River Cauvery joining Bay of Bengal

This is a place near Chidambaram in Tamilnadu called Poompukar. The place is almost unknown. The river Cauvery joins here the Bay of Bengal. It was very interesting to see this happen which I had read in Geography classes. It is interesting to track this on Google maps also. People who visit near by should make it a point to visit this place as it is a very rare sight.
