Sam Tompkins - See Me (Acoustic)

it’s been a year since pretty much my most personal song ever was released. i have struggled with body dysmorphia since the age of about 12. i remember being in my childhood bedroom one day, looking down at my stomach and something switched in me. i never felt the same after that. felt ashamed for years until i had a life coaching/therapy session in 2022 and my whole perspective changed. i found the root of it all and it was so special. i felt liberated; so much so, that i felt ready to write about it… and so i did. this was the product of years of feeling inadequate and finally owning it a little bit. as it’s been a year, i thought it would be cool to go out in public and really sing this song out to the world. for once, i didn’t care about what people thought. for once, i was just saying how i feel about something so personal to me without fear of judgement. this song helped me in so many ways to write, but even more to share. this is the acoustic version. happy see me anniversary to all those that celebrate. thanks for taking care of this super special part of me for a whole year.
