Design Triangulation (Paul Nelson)

In this video for the Alternatives to Methodological Naturalism 2016 Conference, Paul Nelson compares the philosophical approaches of Bacon and Liebniz. He uses Watson and Crick as paradigmatic examples of each approach, and shows how design triangulation, i.e., the inference from system-level functional necessity, has yielded better results for biological inquiry than inferences based on biology's presumed naturalism.
