Looking back on 'Situation' - NDT 1 at Hans van Manen Festival

NDT 1 is bringing 'Situation' (1970) by Hans van Manen back to the stage to celebrate the 90th birthday of this grandmaster of Dutch ballet during the 'Hans van Manen Festival'. Van Manen created 'Situation' in 1970 and it was successfully reintroduced to the NDT audience in 2019. In this short video interview, Hans van Manen himself and Yteke Waterbolk, who was part of the original cast in 1970, explain a bit more about the work and the making of the stage and choreography.
