Sharpening a Swept Back Grind or Irish Grind on a Bowl Gouge - How To
This HD video shows you how to grind and sharpen a Swept Back, Irish or Ellsworth grind on a woodturning bowl gouge. My setup uses the Oneway Wolverine Sharpening system with Don Geiger's vertical solution. It also uses CBN grinding wheels. This shape is one of the most popular grinds for a bowl gouge popularized by Master turner David Ellsworth. Every turner should own David Ellsworth's videos and take a class from him. Thanks for watching!!
