Pink to Gold! Act II Cinderella Transformation Rental Costumes

Here is my latest Pink to Gold Cinderella Transformation costume, based on William Ivey Long's original design for the 2013 Broadway staging of Cinderella. In the show, Gabrielle (the nice stepsister) loans Ella her pink gown to attend the banquet in Act II, and Madame (the stepmother) discovers the deception and rips pieces off, including the sleeves and the skirt. Marie then arrives and helps Ella spin the rags "into gold". It's a very neat scene!

My costume differs quite a bit from the original design (I went especially rogue on the pink gown, going for purple accents rather than orange), but still functions in the exact way needed for the scene. Rigging the costumes takes about 90 seconds, and Madame can rip off the sleeves, skirt, and a bit of bodice trim. I plan to make a few improvements on this costume over the next few months, including more "tatters". I've done a modified version of the transformation here because 1) I'm just one person, 2) I'm in my living room, not on stage, and 3) I get nervous on camera and only did one take :)
