6.2 - Positron emission tomography : attenuation and resolution
The second part of today's course covers the effect of annihilation photon absorption in the tissue (attenuation correction), as well as the impact of limited annihilation range and photon non-collinearity on spatial resolution of the modality. The course terminates with an overview of the x-ray techniques discussed in class.
