Hey, it's Andy with ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com. Today we're delivering the Milkman, a collaboration between JHS Pedals and Milkman Sound. The Milkman is designed for around tone enhancement or overdrive on low-wattage tube amplifiers. It offers two crucial effects to maximize tone without subtracting from it in any way. The Milkman is comprised of two individually switchable effects, with a boost on the right side and a highly-tunable slapback delay. The Boost side is based on a discrete amplifier and provides your tone with a shot in the arm, with signal-fattening always-on boost at the minimum and raw, amp-maiming power when cranked to maximum. The Boost is tuned to be as musical as possible, playing with your amp in such a way that you may never turn it off. The Delay side is chock-full of features, giving you four controls over the repeats. Featuring a scant 240 milliseconds of delay, the Milkman's echo unit was designed to fatten up a hot amp without clogging the signal with ambience. Unlike many delays with longer times, the Milkman's delay side features a knob's worth of variance between its minimum and maximum settings, letting slapback addicts dial in the precise range of time they need. The EQ control affects only the repeats, letting you match the delay's character to your amp and pickups. With the EQ knob set at its lowest, you're treated to BBD-style murky repeats, and treble-laden Tape-style repeats at maximum. And like all JHS pedals, the Milkman is made by real humans right here in the USA.
