The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Michael Gove says the UK must go “further faster” to increase testing to fight coronavirus. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)

In today’s press conference, he outlined that the first thousand new ventilators from companies including Dyson will roll off of production lines this weekend and be delivered to the NHS next week for distribution to the front line.

He also stated that the government has ordered 10,000 new CPAP devices to deliver oxygen.

Although social distancing methods appear to be effective, NHS England National Medical Director Dr Stephan Powis said "we are not out of the woods".

1,789 people in the UK have now died from the virus.
