What On Earth Is Going On At Vitesse Arnhem?

Vitesse Arnhem finished fourth in Eredivisie in the 2020-21 season, and beat Tottenham en route to the Round of Sixteen of the UEFA Conference League in 2021-22, but this season, they have been relegated from the Eredivisie after 35 years, with the largest points deduction in Dutch football history.

Vitesse are best known to a lot of people for their relationship with Premier League giants Chelsea for more than a decade, and in some ways, it is that relationship which is at the heart of their catastrophic demise.

In this video, HITC Sevens takes a look at why Vitesse were deducted 18 points this season, their alleged ties to Roman Abramovich, and why the worst - unfortunately - could still be to come.
