Why You GAIN Weight While Eating Less with PCOS | Crappy Gym Bro Advice Examined

Me when the gym bros hit my comment section 👉🏽🫣🤣

Insulin resistance creates a metabolic environment where:

1- The body prioritizes burning glucose over fat.
2- Fatigue from poor energy utilization reduces activity levels.
3- Excess calories are stored as fat instead of being burned.

I was only able to lose 123 pounds with PCOS (90 of which were in the last year) after managing the root causes, which allows a healthy calorie deficit to work.

Telling women to “just eat less” to lose weight with PCOS who are already eating too little is lazy and harmful.

To those toxic gym bros:

Do your job, understand when something is out of your professional framework, and refer them to a registered dietitian who can actually help them increase their BMR through PCOS friendly swaps.
Don’t tell them to “just eat less”. Shame on those men who do.

Also, any trainer who tells you that they can give you a meal plan for PCOS weight loss is also breaking the law, only registered to dietitians are allowed to do that. 🤷🏽‍♀️
