It's my annual Vanlife Lessons video! Except its 6 months late because 2020 has been one hell of a year. Sorry for the major delay 🙈

I wanted to talk about something a little bit more personal this year. Living in a van can be really hard. The last few years have been unbelievable, but I also suffered from extreme depression and anxiety that was partially related to living in a van.

I wanted to talk about these things because we spend so much time idealizing the vanlife fantasy, but we don't often talk about the impacts of vanlife on mental health. My intention is not to prevent anyone from trying out the vanlife, but to address important topics of mental health while traveling. If you have been on the road for an extended period of time and it's starting to get to you, please know you're not alone!

Anyway, I hope this video is helpful to those of you looking into vanlife as an option for full-time travel. And I hope it doesn't scare anyone away from giving it a try!
