It is not that they are the narcissists, but loads and loads of content would indicate that of all personality types, the INFJ personality types are the ones who often fall victim to the hands of narcissists. And, narcissists though may be appealing and pleasing at times, are actually one of the most toxic people out there. Having to deal with them is already a handful, but to also be abused by them is another level of hardship.

As the gentle and caring INFJ personality types often end up getting tied with a narcissist, the possibility of abuse should not be ignored. With their nature, INFJ personality types may not easily let go of their relationship with a particular narcissist, and so it is sometimes up to the people around them –the people who care for them –to make a move, but how will they know if their INFJ friend or loved one is being abused by a narcissist? Read on to find out the red flags.

It is tough to be an INFJ and, it is even tougher to be an INFJ dealing with an abusive narcissistic partner. The partner does not even need to be a lover –that person could be a friend who leeches on the individual.

The other concern here aside from the abuse is the response to this abuse. INFJs can only shoulder the burden so much and narcissists also have their own share of suffering; eventually, they need someone else to help them out. It definitely won’t be easy dealing with an abused INFJ and the abusive narcissistic suspect but to end such a tragic relationship requires intervention outside of their relationship –that person could be you. And though the signs could be less obvious and harder to notice, take note that it is better to be wary than to intervene earlier than when everything seems to be too late.
