Lake palace Thekkady is the previous summer palace of the travancore dynasty, currently under the management of KTDC, this is the best place to experience thekkady and watch wild life straight from the forest. This palace was the summer season rest house of the Travancore dynasty and later it was taken over by KTDC. A stay at this place to experience the wildlife at Thekkady forest was an entirely different experience. Various forest animals all together came up in a single frame & the scenes from the palace along with the experiences shared by the Lake Palace manager Mr Pradeep who is working there since almost 20 years.
