Protein Aggregate Analyzer - Microscopy Analysis Tool - CureQ Lab

Demo of the Protein Aggregate Analyzer in our Microscopy analysis application.

Microscopy analysis tool:
The Microscopy GUI (Graphical User Interface) is a Python package for performing segmentation and analysis on Microscopy images.

Protein Aggregate Analyzer:
The Protein Aggregate Analyzer is a new Deep Learning module in the Microscopy GUI that uses an ensemble U-Net model to automatically detect and analyze protein aggregates in microscopy images. The Protein Aggregate Analyzer helps you:
- Load microscopy images from various file formats (.LIF, .TIF)
- Pre-process images using the recommended pipeline for optimal results
- Automatically detect cell bodies using AI-powered Cellpose segmentation
- Run aggregate segmentation using an ensemble of Deep Learning U-Net models
- Correct detections by comparing them against a ground-truth mask
- Validate results with metrics including F1/Dice, IoU, precision & recall

CureQ Lab:
This tool is maintained by the CureQ Lab of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS).
In the CureQ Lab, we develop tools to analyse biological data.
