GDB Story Linda and Toby

The video opens with a still photo of Linda Grice with her guide dog, black Lab Yukari, sitting on a bench with GDB Field Service Support Specialist Toby Contreras. A voiceover describes the general content of the video. It then transitions to a black GDB logo on a white screen. This video has a variety of b-roll scenes intermixed with one-on-one interviews. The first scene is of Yukari lying on the floor chewing on a bone. Yukari is then seen laying on her back while Linda ties her shoe in the background. Linda then puts Yukari in harness and they head out on a walk in her neighborhood. We are introduced to Linda in a one-on-one interview as white text reads, “Linda GDB Graduate.” There are intermittent scenes of Linda sitting on a lawn chair and close-up shots of her face and expression. Next, the video cuts to drone footage of our California campus. We are introduced to Toby as he gives a one-on-one interview; the text on the screen reads “Toby Field Service Support Specialist.” He is shown working with a guide dog team on campus and in a separate neighborhood. The film cuts to scenes of Linda working her guide while holding hands with her two grandsons as they walk to a park. They are then shown playing in a park on the slides and swings as Linda supervises. Linda is shown back at her house petting and interacting with Yukari. Linda is pictured sitting on the couch in her home next to Toby. Next, they are shown on a walk with Yukari through a path in a park. Toby is seen working a yellow Lab guide dog back on the California campus. The scene cuts to Linda and Toby entering an indoor rock climbing facility, putting on their gear, and rock climbing. Linda is rock climbing while Toby assists her from the ground via Bluetooth communication. Linda is then shown back at home lovingly interacting with her guide dog. The video ends on Linda walking with Yukari and then the screen fades to white and the GDB logo appears again.
