Yrjö Neuvo Jubilee "Education, research and innovations - Predicting the unpredictable: CNT

What are the future technologies about to change our world; that have as important role as the microelectronics and cell phones have today? Where they could possibly come from?

Will there be another Moore’s law?

Professor and Research Director Yrjö Neuvo highlighted carbon nanotubes in his jubilee lecture as the next great breakthrough technology with potential to create a whole new semiconductor industry.

Carbon nanotubes are extremely small, nano-scale structures that can among other things be used as transistors offering higher density of logic and memory. Transparent and bendable carbon nanotubes enable a completely different type of electronics devices that we have experienced so far.
