Something that is always a BIG concern in 7 Days to Die is wandering hordes and screamers.

Using your forge or placing too many torches sends up a beacon to a SCREAMER zombie to come and find you.

If she does, then she will summon a HORDE of zombies to come and try to kill you, and usually destroying your hard earned base along with it.

WANDERING HORDES also pose a serious threat, as a HORDE of zombies aimlessly walking towards your location can cause a whole host of issues.

If they get stuck on any part of your base, then they will start breaking it down. If you make a sound when they are nearby then they will come to try and get you.

There is only ONE sure fire way to avoid all of these hassles...

BUILD A BEDROCK BASE!

Staying safe underground is one of the oldest tricks in the book, but with the new Alpha 17 it has become SO much harder!

Zombies can now dig down to get you if they know you are there, so while avoiding the BLOOD MOON HORDE entirely is impossible, there are ways to control the zombies and stop them breaking into you base.

THIS IS THE EASIEST WAY TO MAKE A BEDROCK BASE that will both entirely AVOID the SCREAMERS and WANDERING HORDES, but also give you a way to ZOMBIE PROOF your base for the BLOOD MOON HORDES!

Press Z to select opposite corner of area.
Press K
Select menu option 2.
Press "Clear Selection"
Backspace to remove blue block.
