I am so thankful for all the buzz over the last two weeks.

I’ve had the opportunity to document a photoshoot with @ernestobrettdennison and @gutterrgirrll , wrap my half sleeve (to be a full sleeve) with @samwoodsonartist while catching up with some of my fave creatives at @haylostudiolounge , helped put on a baby sprinkle, travelled for a maternity shoot, and conducted my own interview for an ongoing positioning and strategy project with a local photographer I may have mentioned already 👀 .

But today I’m tired.

I wanted a reset day—which admitting I need one is growth for me. However, today isn’t that day.

My daughter and I took the morning easy while I wrapped a volunteer project for a local political mom group. I worked through my biggest priorities list, reviewed upcoming calls, and we left to drop off two oil pastel pieces at the @caincenterforthearts for the upcoming show, HomeGrown. Me and V also got to take some time to enjoy the Director’s Exhibit where we recognized so many names—what a difference from last year to now. Then, we ran over to Veteran’s park and painted/drew en plein air together 🌞

We’ll be picking up my son shortly, and then it’s time for a walk with Booney and the kids 🐾 before working on marketing for a community fundraising event ❤️.

Today I’m grateful to be able to work within my energy limits and balance it with cup-filling family time. I keep seeing great opportunities out there to try and jump back into what I was doing before…but I’m choosing to continue to believe in this dream of a life reset and not take the bait. Here’s to another day of being a full time artist 🎨
