Grandmother’s Favorite | Classic and Vintage Series | Fat Quarter Shop

Kimberly shows you how to add modern techniques to make the classic quilt block, Grandmother’s Favorite. We’re using the No-waste Flying Geese Method and Triangles on a Roll Triangle Paper for accurate piecing. She also demonstrates a method for sewing perfect points. The Grandmother’s Favorite quilt block was originally published in 1930 in the Kansas City Star newspaper. Kimberly picked the Catalina collection by Fig Tree & Co to stitch up her quilt.
