Don’t Let the Devil Intimidate You!

1 Samuel 17:32 NIV
“David said to Saul, “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.”
1 Samuel 17:37 NIV
The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”

The Philistines were intimidating the Israelites causing them to run away afraid to fight Goliath but David was not afraid of the Philistines or Goliath because he knew the God who delivered him from a lion and a bear. I don’t know who or what is the Philistine in your life today—that is what is causing you to fear, doubt, worry, be discouraged and be demotivated in your Christian journey, but God wants you to look back in your life, reflect on what he has done before and use that as your reference point as to what he will do in the circumstances or the challenges you are facing today. All of what you are feeling inside to discourage you are what the devil is using to intimidate you so that your faith and trust in God dwindle. Be like David, God and stand firm in your faith and let the devil know regardless of how armored he comes, your God will see you through for he will destroy the “Philistine” in your life and give you the victory. So don’t you ever let the devil intimidate you! God bless you.
