In a major step to advance the Digital India Mission, the government has launched a highly beneficial scheme for 12th pass youth. Under the Free Computer Training Scheme 2025, young individuals will now get the opportunity to enroll in computer courses absolutely free of cost, along with financial assistance of up to ₹15,000. This initiative especially targets students from economically weaker sections to make them digitally empowered.

Digital Proficiency with Financial Self-Reliance
Through this scheme, students will learn everything from basic to advanced computer skills. Additionally, they will receive a scholarship of up to ₹15,000 during the training, directly transferred to their bank accounts to relieve any financial burden during the course.

Who is Eligible for the Scheme?
Only those youth who: Are Indian citizens, Have passed 12th standard, Are between 18 to 30 years of age, Have a family income less than ₹2.5 lakh annually, And have not previously enrolled in any computer course, are eligible to apply.

What Will Be Taught in the Course?
Under this scheme, participants will be trained in: Microsoft Office, Internet usage, Digital transactions, Cyber security, Typing and email, Operating government portals, etc.
The course duration will range from 3 to 6 months, and it will be conducted through government-recognized institutions.

Interested candidates can apply through their State Skill Development or Labour Department’s official website.

Steps:
• Visit the portal and click on “Free Computer Training Scheme
• Register with your details.
• Upload necessary documents – Aadhar card, 12th mark sheet, photo, bank passbook, etc.
• Submit your application.
In some states, this facility is also available at CSC centers.
