What a Friend We Have in Jesus

Lead Me, Guide Me: The African American Catholic Hymnal was the first of its kind and served to inculturate and animate the faith of Black Catholics. In it, Sr. Thea Bowman described the gifts of African American sacred song as holistic, participatory, spirit-filled, and life-giving. Campus Ministry shares some of the hymns throughout November in honor of Black Catholic History Month.
