Have you ever wondered what happens to your general waste once it’s been collected? In this video we show you the journey your general waste takes, and how we turn it into green electricity for the National Grid.

When we collect your general waste, we take it to an Energy from Waste facility where we use it to recover renewable energy and create environmentally friendly building materials. This process guarantees zero waste to landfill, as we even send the Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) for recycling into an aggregate used in road building.
