Doctor Strange is about to get a whole lot stranger with his stand-alone sequel -- the Multiverse of Madness. While we have NO CLUE where the story is headed, the title of the movie gives us a ton of options -- and so does the newest behind-the-scenes change that opens the door for a classic web-slinger we would love to see on the big-screen again.

Long before the MCU was established, our favorite Marvel property was no doubt the Spider-Man trilogy. There was even supposed to be a fourth Spider-Man movie, but development was eventually dropped in favor of Andrew Garfield’s Amazing Spider-Man, the ho-hum pair of movies that started out with a lot of fanfare but have pretty much drifted away in recent years. And now all we’re left with are nostalgic feelings of the Spidey that once was. And don’t get us wrong -- we LOVE Tom Holland as the younger Peter Parker, but we are ready for Tobey Maguire to take a step back into the role -- and now we have the perfect opportunity for it to happen without stepping into the current MCU Spidey’s web along the way.

Famed film director Sam Raimi is taking the reins of the MCU film and with his connections to the original Spider-Man trilogy, we’re just gonna go ahead and say it -- Tobey Macguire HAS to appear in Doctor Strange 2. How and why? Well, we’ll tell you -- and by the end of the video, you’ll be singing “Spider-Man” in hopes of the possibilities.
