A historic moment for India as Sikkim has officially been declared the country's 5th "Fully Literate State" under the Central Government’s ULLAS (Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society) initiative!
With an incredible literacy rate of 99.82%, Sikkim has easily surpassed the Ministry of Education's benchmark of 95% required for full literacy status. The landmark announcement was made by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang in the grand presence of President Droupadi Murmu during the 7th convocation ceremony of Sikkim University.
