Feeding my Texas Alligator Lizard a Grasshopper (Best with Headphones)

My adult female Texas alligator lizard (Gerrhonotus infernalis) takes a fresh-caught grasshopper. This species of lizard is absolutely killer and their hunting behaviors always astonish me. Tried to get some angles in this clip that convey just how terrifying it would be for you to be the size of the bug.
Feeding wild insects comes with the risks of parasites and exposure to unknown pesticides and chemicals. If you're collecting wild feeder insects always do so in an area with a healthy population where you know no pesticides or chemicals have been sprayed.
