Ten years later...

The peace of the Alpha Quadrant is shattered when, without warning, the Romulan sun suddenly goes supernova, destroying the entire solar system--and countless innocent lives with it. Things go from bad to worse when evidence surfaces that Starfleet may have been responsible, evidence which appears to show a Federation starship near the sun just before the explosion. With time running out until the Romulans launch a massive offensive against the Federation, Captain Bradley Prentice and his crew aboard the USS F. Scott Fitzgerald dare to make their way into Romulan space in a last, desperate attempt to prove Starfleet's innocence and stop the invasion.
